Low Voltage Technician:
This job requires that you are able to install and maintain of a range of security, fire, access control and video surveillance systems. Precise record keeping with the use of notes and computer are also necessary for tracking time spent on job sites, change orders and products installed. System data management is also necessary. You will be installing fire or security systems and terminating them to control panels; programming and testing systems; entering data upload via a lap top computer; explaining to customers how to use the system; and repairing faulty systems. You will be working with technologies from but not limited to manufacturers such as DSC, Ademco, Silent Night, Firelite and Honeywell. Products will be both hard wired and wireless. Other duties may include working with and training an apprentice. This position includes on call requirements but most jobs are scheduled during normal business hours, Monday -Friday
MUST HAVE: Good driving record. clean cut/professional appearance. The ability to climb, bend, move through tight space & lift 50+ lbs. excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous Security System installation experience preferred, but we would also consider an applicant with electrical, telephone or cable installation experience. (Do you want to learn this trade? We will train the right candidate. Wage would be considerably less for a trainee. But could increase quickly as you are able to work independently. Lots of room to grow in this company! ) Positive “can do” attitude and strong work ethic. Attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Must provide your own hand tools (screw drivers, wire stripper, volt meter, etc.) Must provide your own cell phone for work.
